A single estate of 5 hectares of volcanic earth is used. Intensive cultivation in small parcels of less than 2.000 square meters. Several annual harvests, thanks to a system of rotating and diversifying cultivations on a small land surface. In this way a permanent production is obtained. The climate in which the estate of Cristina is cultivated, is considered subtropical: of oceanic influence, warm and moderately humid with precipitation throughout the year, although the summer is slightly drier. Abrupt atmospheric changes accompanied by strong rains are very frequent. This marine influence is under the Anticyclone action of the South Pacific.   The land  which the Agriculturist plants with her family is located at the base of the hill Kahurea, a great part of which is covered by stones.  Cristina honors her Ancestors who preserved the land by not removing the stones. The soil has remained fertile for the palnitng of vegetables and fruit trees.
